1. Overview

At PatchWatch, we want you to be completely satisfied with our security patch monitoring service. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be requested and processed.

2. Free Trial

We offer a free plan that allows you to evaluate our service before committing to a paid subscription. We encourage all users to fully test the free plan features before upgrading to Pro.

3. Refund Eligibility

3.1 Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their initial purchase if they are not satisfied with the service. After the 7-day period, refunds are not available for monthly plans, but you may cancel to prevent future charges.

3.2 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscribers may request a pro-rated refund within 30 days of their initial purchase. After 30 days, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. How to Request a Refund

  1. Send an email to support@patchwatch.app
  2. Include your account email address
  3. Provide the reason for your refund request
  4. Include your transaction ID or payment receipt

5. Refund Processing

  • Refund requests are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Bank processing may take an additional 5-10 business days
  • You will receive email confirmation when your refund is processed

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally not provided in the following situations:

  • Account suspended for Terms of Service violations
  • Refund requested after the eligible refund period
  • Multiple refund requests from the same user
  • Fraudulent activity or abuse of the refund policy

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you have an issue with a charge, we strongly encourage you to contact support@patchwatch.app first. We resolve valid disputes quickly.

Filing a chargeback dispute via your bank or credit card provider without initially contacting us is considered a violation of these Terms. Such actions will result in the immediate and permanent suspension of your account and the forfeiture of any active service credits.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • Your access continues until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not be charged for future periods
  • Your account will be downgraded to the free plan after the billing period ends
  • Your data will be retained for 30 days after downgrade

9. Service Credits

In cases where a refund is not appropriate but you experienced service issues, we may offer service credits for future billing periods at our discretion. Service credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for monetary refunds.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
